I used Wings3D a long time ago for some personal and commercial stuff back before the 1.0 release. Having recently gotten back into 3D development, I redownloaded Wings3D and was excited to find the sculpting tool and how robust it was. Immediately, I thought of terrain editing. Easy, right? Throw down a relatively high-polygon plane and use the push/pull sculpting to raise and lower the terrain.
Not quite. I wasn't able to find a way to quickly restrict the movement of the vertices to only along the Y axis. If there is a way currently, then by all means please tell me. Otherwise, my constructive criticism is that the sculpting tool was a very pleasant surprise and that adding a movement constraint would give sculpting additional applications that make such a feature worth developing.
Hope it helps and thanks for listening.
