Due to performance issues in the current (0.99.53) implementation of Contour I rewrote this plugin.
There are some changes. There is no longer an option for Normlize because there isn't a need for it anymore. Now there is only Average and Along Edges as solutions for the regional tools. The change is due to an improvement in the vector math.. so the two half decent solutions (average and normalize) are now replaced by Average which in my view is much better. (For anyone who cares, I employed the use of the dot scalar product which was good to learn about
)
The new Inset has options to scale to the smallest distance to center per Face, and per Face per object.
Currently none of the plugin's mode options are being saved to your prefs also the file is called acontour.erl, so you can compare the differences.
This plugin shows up as .Inset. in the face menu.

Copy the file to your "plugins/commands" folder to try the changes.

In addition to the file above, you should also get the following file too because it corrects an extrude region bug, which can crash wings or omit an edge following an Extrude Region cmd. You can copy this file to you wings/ebin
