Hi all
Just a few plugins I think would gain a larger wings3d audience for the game level designers on a tight budget.
PSK 3d format used in the unreal 2 and 3 engine (ideal for meshing and applying textures). (you'll gain tons of support here)
t3d unreal brush format ideal for adding collision to models.
Another cool plugin is a simplified collision object for unreal. Just right click object and it will calculate a simplified mesh model of the main object. Allowing for export into t3d and applying collision afterwards.
You could allow multiple settings for x y z complexities or thresholds near complex triangles/polygon clusters.
ASE a standard worth having in wings3d import and export (supporting materials as well)
Pre transformation scaling. This would be helpful to scale up an object without it becoming bigger in wings3d editor.
Texture scaling per face/ object / rotate align stretch flip tile etc via right click in texture mode (if one comes available).
Right side of screen a list of textures with thumbnails select one and then apply to face or multiple faces.
Just these plugins alone I think many would use wings3d as THE unreal model maker for the budget market. Everyone I know into unreal level design is screaming for such plugins with wings3d ease of use its a match made in heaven..
my 2 cents
