Another question, I have a cylinder that is hollow. on one end there is a face, but with a hole through it, and on the other, nothing- just verts. How can I
connect those verts and make a face? this seems pretty simple, but i dont know the operation... Thanks

Ok, i gots myself a photobucket account. How to i get my model into the right format so I can put it on the internet? Does it need to be rendered to do this,
or can it be just a frame of it on the work plane? Thanks

If you're just wanting to show what it looks like, do a screen capture. There are plenty of ways to do this, but one of the common ones is to hit
Shift-PrintScreen and then paste in an image editing program.
If you're wanting to share the actual model, then try a file sharing or 3D model sharing site for hosting. I'd suggest exporting to .obj, since that's tends to be the most universally supported format right now in regards to rendering software. When exporting to .obj, don't forget to include the associated .mtl file and any textures when you get to zipping it. |

Do a render or take a screenshot and upload (the image) to pb - just log in and follow the upload instructions then use the link they provide in a post here. pp |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But how do you take your screen shot (shift prt Scrn) from being a
copied image to being a picture file? I apologies for my computer ignorance. I am indeed not as savy as one would hope. Thank you for the help

Create scene in geom window you want a pic of
Tools | screenshot Window | Outliner Select << screenshot >> rmb > Rename (and give it a new name) rmb > export ... and save it in some suitable place as a jpg (say) Now got your screenshot of some scene, saved on your pc somewhere ... next step, to upload to pbucket (in your case) Log in to pbkt Choose 'my computer' as the source of your image file Choose files ... and point to / find the relevant file that you've just saved ... and upload this (pbkt then offers various tagging / labelling options - press 'skip this step' for now. now pbkt show you all the pics you've stored select the appropriate one offers various tag options - choose direct link and copy this come to odf and paste this link into your post http://img.photobucket.co...ums/v492/pppix/piccie.jpg (Odf will automatically add the codes to display it as a link - not an embedded image.) To change this add the word image and /image (both inside square brackets), one before, one after the link obtained from pbkt - I've added an extra 'a' [imaage]http://img.photobucket.co...pppix/piccie.jpg[/imaage] without those extra a's

Not a good idea (imo) to pollute this thread with such a Q
Have no problem with the Q being asked (again) ... but Off Topic is the place ... however, please check what's already there, as this has been asked (and answered) before. If you're asking me - in partic. - can't really comment, as, since I've not really used it, it'd just be a case of re-gurgitating what I've seen / read about it, without being modified by any (in-depth) personal experience ... and since I've seen enough ppl slagging wings off as a load of junk after using same for half an hour or so ... I'd not want to do the same ... However - as with any tool, it's the user that makes the difference, and I've certainly seen examples of both rubbish and absolutely stunning work produced by it ... same as wings At the end of the day, it's free - try it for yourself and since it does stuff that wings doesn't - use both. pp |
