Back in the 90's, I worked for the CNN Headline News graphics department in Atlanta. Headline News was an early adopter of the Symbolics graphics systems
for their broadcast video production needs. I have watched the progression (more of a decline actually) of the software through Triple-I, Nichimen, Izware and
Wings. Since I've always loved the Symbolics modeler, I've been looking into the possibility of obtaining a legal license of Mirai. Does anyone know if

I was delighted when I found out that wings now can do Ambient Occlusion; just one less reason to use blender for my modeling needs.

One more thing that I have to resort to blender for though is normal map baking. Of-course there is nothing wrong with blender, but I personally prefer wings
for modeling, and being able to stay in one app would cut out a-lot of time spent switching between apps and importing/exporting models.

apparently this is not the case.
Yes, the old non-region extrude did have its uses, and was convienient. Say you want to make a T-shape from a cube really fast, it was plenty easy doing
extrude normal. Ditto with taking any other geometry and making a structure with projections from any random selection of polygon faces.
I am really new to Wings and I am wondering how to scale using the centroid of my selectio nas a pivot point.
Usually in 3D applications based on handlers or gizmos qhen you select something you get a handler in the centroid of the selected gemetry and you can
scale/rotate/translate in the different axes but getting this selection centroid as the pivot point.

I have seen that in Wings you can get something similar with the region commands, like Scale Axis->Region....
